Folk Tale Week
Folktale week is a week-long art challenge that follows several prompts to create an illustrated story. I wrote a poem to accompany my drawings to tell the tale of a lonely woodland wisp.

LOST & INK - Wisp is trying to find a friend, but no creature wants to know. She lights up the inky blackness and the creatures think she's a foe.

SEA - She looks up to the twinkling midnight sky, upon a sea of stars. "They could all be my friends, but oh what a distance they are."

SLEEP - If wisp could only sleep at night and appear during the day, She might be able to find a friend who'd like to come and play.

UNDERGROUND - Wisp searched all through the treetops, even underground. She was on the verge of giving up until she heard a sound.

ILLUSION - In the dark ahead of her she saw a hazy light. "What's that ghostly glow up there, it's giving me a fright"

FOUND - "Wisp, come and jin our motley crew. You're search has come to an end. We're the woodland weird and wonderful and in you we see a friend"
